The scenery of the fertile County Kildare is friendly. Open grasslands with occasionally a group of trees and small elevations unworthy the term hill. We think it is a bit too boring, but tastes differ.
The landscape lend itself perfectly for golf courses, and you will find plenty of them.

County Kildare is world famous for its horses, both racing and breeding. The Irish National Stud, located near Tully, is said to be one of the most successful breeding stations in the world.

There are some archaeological interesting, yet not spectacular, sites in the county. The city of Kildare however is worthwhile a visit for its Saint Brigid's Cathedral.
For the real Guinness-aholic a visit to Leixlip is obliged. Arthur Guinness started here with a legacy of 100 Pound a brewery. After visiting Leixlip, when your throat which feels like sandpaper, you might continue your tour to Naas and visit one of the many along the main street. We stopped counting at 32.
